The practical guide

A QR business card for your next conference.

You have a good conversation. Then comes the small pause: which contact should you share? A digital business card puts your name, work and chosen links on one page. Here is how to prepare yours in Introcard before an event.

One scan opens your introduction.

An Introcard QR code opens a web page with your photo, work and contact buttons. The other person chooses how to reach you, or taps Save contact to download a vCard (.vcf) for their address book. They do not need an Introcard account or an app.

The QR opens a page rather than storing all your contact details inside the code. You can update and publish your card later. A QR downloaded from your account keeps working even if you change your page address, as long as the card stays published.

01 / Make yourself easy to recognise.

Sign in with your email and open Profile. Set your display name, role, company and a short description of your work. Add a photo and, if useful, your company logo.

Write for the person you just met: who you are, what you do and why they might want to continue the conversation. Your display name is what appears on the page; separate name fields are used when saving a contact.

02 / Choose the next step.

In Contacts, add the ways you actually want people to reach you: email, phone, WhatsApp, Telegram, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, your website or Calendly. You can hide a contact button without deleting it, and change the order.

Put your most useful links first. For example, a consultant might start with LinkedIn and email, then put a full-width Calendly button below them. A photographer might lead with Instagram and a portfolio website. Every button can be regular or full width.

03 / Pick a design and publish.

Choose Clear, Editorial or Night in Design. Check the mobile preview, then publish your card at an available page address. Only publish contact details and images you are comfortable making accessible to anyone with the link.

In Share or Settings, choose your link version: World or Ru. Ru uses the regional address intended for sharing in Russia. You can also choose English or Russian for the card’s interface; this does not translate the profile text you wrote.

If you have uploaded a company logo, Settings can place it in the centre of your QR code. You can adjust its frame from square to round. Test the resulting QR before using it.

04 / Take the QR with you.

Open Share to copy your link or download the QR as PNG or SVG. Choose Download your card for a phone wallpaper, a poster, a square image or a business card layout.

A wallpaper keeps the QR close at hand. After setting it on your phone, check that the clock, widgets and notifications do not cover it. The saved image can be displayed offline; opening the card itself needs an internet connection.

For a print shop, use the business card export in PDF or PNG. It includes 3 mm bleed. Confirm the finished size and the shop’s file requirements before ordering. Keep the clear space around the QR, and test a sample at its actual printed size.

05 / Try the whole exchange once.

Use another phone to scan the exact QR you plan to show or print. Check it as a visitor, without signing in.

  • Does the published page open on a mobile connection?
  • Are your name, photo and role easy to recognise?
  • Do the visible contact links reach the right accounts?
  • Can the other person save your contact to their phone?
  • Is the QR fully visible on your wallpaper or printed sample?

The story behind Introcard

I wanted a better way to introduce myself.

Why Daniil created Introcard: a personal QR business card for conference introductions became a service with three designs, contact links and printable layouts.
